This holiday season, SoMa 501 seeks to strengthen neighborhood bonds along south Main Street by soliciting support on Giving Tuesday. Giving Tuesday is a growing national tradition in which nonprofit organizations solicit donations.

Contribute to an eclectic and dynamic South Main Street by championing its economic interests, celebrating and protecting its history, and cultivating an exception downtown experience for all who come to live, work, play, and be in our vibrant, neighborly community.

The SoMa Mission

"We're wrapping up a successful year for our organization, and we're asking our friends and neighbors to consider us when making charitable donations on #GivingTuesday," said Lindsey Boerner, SoMa 501 President. "All of our activities have a purpose of improving our area through economic development and there is a cost associated with all of the activities.  We need monetary help in order to continue with the projects that make SoMa Little Rock exciting and economically viable.”

In 2019, Soma 501 hosted a successful Mardi Gras Parade, started the SoMa After Dark series, and completed three grant projects to improve the streetscape of south Main. In order to increase impact, the organization also hired Executive Director, Nate Kennedy.  Nate is looking forward to a successful and challenging 2020.

“We look forward to our continued growth where we can encourage a vibrant and diverse South Main Street where residents, local businesses, and visitors alike feel welcome, full of opportunity, and engaged in the community,” Kennedy said.  “Anyone who gives to SoMa 501 will see a direct impact from their donation in the SoMa area in the coming year.”
